Here, eight new species from Peru are described and figured: D. chetsorr Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. illa Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. maquinaccasa Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. puka Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. quellue Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. yanasiki Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., D. urqu Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov., and D. willapi Inga & Alvarado, sp. nov.. Dolichomitus annulicornis (Cameron) and D. meii Di Giovanni & Sääksjärvi are recorded from Peru for first time. Furthermore, Umanella tricoloripes Herrera-Florez is transferred to Dolichomitus, and D. pimmi Araujo & Pádua is synonymized with D. tricoloripes (Herrera-Florez, 2018); and a key to Neotropical species is provided.

RESUMO

Apechoneura nigriventris is removed from synonymy and re-instated as a valid species and included in the nigricornis species-group. Apechoneura seminigra is considered a new synonymy of A. nigriventris. Apechoneura pictiventris is included in the carinifrons species-group.

Abstract The species richness and composition of nocturnal parasitoid wasps Ophioninae subfamily in the Arequipa department was determined. Sixteen localities were evaluated along an altitude gradient that goes from sea level up to 4300 m; in each locality, collections were done in March and May 2018. Light traps were used for the evaluation. A total of 15 morphospecies and 8 species corresponding to the genera: Alophophion, Enicospilus, Eremotylus, and Ophion were registered. The highest richness of Ophioninae was found at 3300 m (S = 8). The genera Alophophion and Ophion were more abundant at medium to high elevations, Enicospilus was more abundant at low altitude localities, and Eremotylus was only recorded in a medium altitude locality.

RESUMO

The genus Eremotylus Forster currently comprises 16 described species, two of them occurring in the Neotropical region. The genus is recorded for the first time in Peru and Eremotylus pukayana sp. nov. is described. A key for the Neotropical species is also presented.

RESUMO

We describe and figure a distinctive new species of the bee genus Andinopanurgus Gonzalez and Engel (Andrenidae, Protandrenini) from Apurímac and Cusco in southern Peru. Andinopanurgus vargasllosai Gonzalez and Alvarado, n. sp., occurs at elevations above 4000 m in the Central Andes and is the second species of this genus in Peru. The new species possesses terga with semi-translucent distal margins, a unique feature among Andinopanurgus, and it combines morphological features of the two species groups previously recognized in the genus. To facilitate its recognition, we provide an updated key to species of Andinopanurgus.

A fossil palpigrade is described and figured from mid-Cretaceous (Cenomanian) amber from northern Myanmar. Electrokoenenia yaksha Engel and Huang, gen. n. et sp. n., is the first Mesozoic fossil of its order and the only one known as an inclusion in amber, the only other fossil being a series of individuals encased in Pliocene onyx marble and 94-97 million years younger than E. yaksha. The genus is distinguished from other members of the order but is remarkably consistent in observable morphological details when compared to extant relatives, likely reflecting a consistent microhabitat and biological preferences over the last 100 million years.

RESUMO

The ichneumonid genus Habronyx is recorded for the first time from Peru and Ecuador, and three new species are described and figured-Habronyx (Camposcopus) flavus Alvarado, new species, H. (Habronyx) nigrofasciata Alvarado, new species, and H. (H.) saqsaywaman Alvarado, new species. Hadronyx (H.) punensis is recorded for the first time in Peru. Habronyx (H.) nigrofasciata was reared from Paracles tapina (Dyar, 1913) (Erebidae: Arctiinae). In addition, the distribution of P. tapina is expanded and figures of its larvae, pupae, and adult female and male are provided.

RESUMO

Triclistus Förster, 1869 is a widely distributed genus of the family Ichneumonidae, rich in the Old World but poorly represented in the Neotropical region. Ten new species are described: Triclistus ashaninka sp. n., Triclistus bicolor sp. n., Triclistus castilloai sp. n., Triclistus cholo sp. n., Triclistus muqui sp. n., Triclistus inti sp. n., Triclistus matsiguenga, sp. n., Triclistus megantoniensis sp. n., Triclistus warmi sp. n. and Triclistus yungas sp. n. A key to Neotropical species is also presented, and four species group are suggested, based in the head and propodeum structure.

RESUMO

The genus Meggoleus Townes, 1971 (Ichneumonidae, Tersilochinae) currently comprises two species, one from Brazil and one from Gabon. The genus is recorded from Peru for the first time, with a range extension of the type species, Meggoleus spirator Townes, 1971, and the discovery of two new species - Meggoleus fuscatussp. n. and Meggoleus pampahermosensissp. n. A key to the world's species is provided.
